Hi Guys,
We had some stunning light this morning but as today is another "daddy-day" i was bound to our back yard where i was lucky enough to find this Silver Y moth and take some shots with the upcoming sun behind it.

Hi Jeroen, I must admit that I too agree that it needs a bit of fill light. I normally use a reflector for it, nothing fancy. I also must say that you have a beautiful collection of snakes shots on your blog, which I enjoyed viewing very much.

maybe a little more reflected light but I still like the lighting as it is. I would prefer to see the grass stalk in a vertical position as it would look more natural to my eyes. A nicely taken shot.

Nice work Jeroen, A little bit of fill light from a reflector would have lifted it a little more but may have detracted away the backlighting you have captured very well. Very nice.

Like the rim lighting Jeroen, maybe just needs a touch more fill flash to bring out a little more deffinition on the darker side of the moth.
