...in the Shenandoah Valley, Amador County. After all the rain yesterday, today looked a little more promising. I woke to no rain, high clouds, damp ground and headed to the Shenandoah Valley wine country of Amador County, figured the vineyards would have some color and maybe even some grapes; I wasn't disappointed. This was taken at the Shenandoah Vineyards, nice diffused light on the vines and even some grapes. A very enjoyable morning.

Great lighting and well composed, Reno! A nature still life. The colors are really
vibrant. It's rewarding to find red, yellow, and blue together. Good DOF also.
I hope that you have some more vineyard images to share from the Shenandoah Valley.

This is wonderful, Reno. Contrasting colors, lighting, DOF, everything works very well to make an excellent capture.
Great to see and talk with you again in Lee Vining this year too.

Do I see a wine country cover shot here? Didn't realize that grapevines changed color, but it should have been a no brainer being I knew they dropped their leaves. I echo the other comments already posted. My only nit and it's extremly minor is there seems to be allot of space above the main subject the grapes and the exquisite grape leaf. I just my opinion but I might try cropping a little off the top.

I just want to reach out and pick a few of those grapes! I like the way the contrast in color makes the eye go right for those grapes. I wish that upper stem was covered with a little more leaf. It kind allows my eye to wander out of the image a little more than I would like. A very minor nit, to a well crafted image. Good stuff!
