Another one from Gigrin on Monday.
I've attached the shooting data for this one for all the other 7D shooters out there.
Not sure whether the background works in this one with the split blue and dark grey?
Comments and crits welcome.
Cheers

Hi Ian,
Another beautiful shot from a very recognisable place. I, for one, actually prefer the 2 tones of the sky as the simple blue BG as of many shots are just so repeatable. This just adds a bit more depth in my opinion. Liking the series.

Thanks Brett. I agree with you there. It was really hard to try and pull anything different from this place as like you say, everything has been done before. Thanks for looking.

Lovely! THe pose is superb. Have to say I'm envious because I sat for nearly 4 hours in a hide today waiting for these - they didn't perform.

BG looks fine imo, as does the fantastic pose, top shot Ian.
I too would be interested in knowing how good the 7D is re high iso.

Hi Gal/Guys
Thanks for all your comments. As a 40D owner for about 2.5years and comparing the ISO with this I would say its a hell of a lot better. Around 90% of these kites were taken at ISO500 and i was impressed with how little noise there was with the 500mm. Obviously, if you add the 1.4x converter this is going to increase but I was taking pictures with my 100mm macro the other day at ISO640 and i was very impressed at hardly any noise. little noise there was. I'll try it with the 1.4x at ISO800+ over the weekend and post some pics.
