Hi,

Not had a chance to participate in the forum recently due to other comitments but still look-in on a regular basis and have very much enjoyed the recent Red Deer posts, in particular.
Here's my contribution, taken a few days ago.
Just as the sun had set, this stag and hind paraded up and down in front of me prior to mating.

All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Hello Justin...
Wonderful scene, and particularly the way he has his eye on her.
Nice light, particularly the subtle backlight.

is this in the new forest?

It's Bushy Park, Mark.
The New Forest has been particularly unproductive for Red Deer photography in recent years so it wasn't worth the time or effort this year IMO.

This is a beauty Justin, the lighting is very special and the pose from the stag is too.

PS how's the sidekick working out?

Hi Julian,
It's great thanks. I'm really pleased with it.
I was just using the Manfrotto video head on this occasion as I was also using a video camera in addition to my DSLR.
I hope you're getting on well with your Wimberley. :wavey:
