I'm designing some posters from a few of my Adirondack photos (sample attached). My plan is to have two versions of each, one being an archival, signed & numbered (open edition) print on heavyweight matte paper. These will be made as sold and the other version being 4 color press copies which I will have printed up in lots of 25-100 depending on the printer. Those can be sold fairly cheaply to shops in the ADKS for sale to tourists.
My question is, what should I ask for the archival signed and numbered prints? They cost about $20/print to produce. That does not include costs incurred in creating the image (cameras, computers, travel, etc.). The craft pricing rule of thumb that I was taught in my pottery days was 2X cost for wholesale and 4X cost for retail. If I add an extra $5/print on cost to allow for the creation part of cost that would make them $100. Too much? Too little? And what's your rational? I have trouble with pricing and I'd appreciate some other views on it.

I tried posting this to the marketing forum but it wouldn't allow the photo.
I'd go for a drive and do some comparison shopping in the markets you're targeting. The mass printed posters will be your competition for your low end prints. The high end will be influenced by the going price for the same size fine art prints in the vicinity of your points of sale.
Do you factor time invested for creating art into your cost? What about skill and creativity? I don't think you can price art based off the raw materials.. I would do as Hank suggests, and see what others in your area/market are pricing at, that will give you an idea for what you can charge.
