Wow! What an adventure you two had, and Holger too! I just read the whole thing front to back, and was thoroughly impressed by both the photos, and Jonathan's short, but well crafted writings.
Iceland has been on my radar of places to visit for some time, and now is climbing the list steadily. A portion of my family's ancestry originates from Iceland, so that makes it all the more compelling for me to want to visit. I passed on an opportunity to go to the "Ellingsen Family Reunion" in Reykjavik when I was a teenager and now regret it badly.
Truly some amazing photos, and great stories. Thanks for sharing. I'm planning on being in PDX that weekend. I'll see if I can make it to your lecture at PSU.
