Another image from our backpacking trip in early October.
Last shot of the day...nearly dark when this image was made.
Upper Mosquito Lake - John Krebs Wilderness
Sawtooth Peak on the right and the Kaweah range in the distance on the left.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Focal length:60 mm
Exposure:8s at f/10
ISO speed:ISO 160
Michael, I thought this site looked a bit familiar from other posts I've seen of this particular site. I really like the soft pink pastel cast here, gives a nice warmth to the scene.
Michael, very pleasing image. Great color in the reflection. Nicely composed. Best Regards.

Appropriately titled, Michael. Very special lighting. Well done.

That is exactly the kind of image one would expect to see at the end of the day amongst the Sierra. Very nice!

Michael,
Terrific High Sierra landscape. The soft pastel tones and the light on the background range is really quite nice. Excellent overall processing and taming the range of light.

Tranquil indeed - make me wish I was there.
