Hi,

One from this morning with some very good company... this stag entertained us for some time with his antics.

See you all tomorrow.

A very nice portrait Phil, although the horizon needs levelling a touch IMHO.

Oops.... must try and post when I am more awake...... I produced the jpeg from an uncorrected file  . There is a slight incline, here is another with the appropriate correction, good call David...

I can see where David is coming from, but I think the stag would look wrong somehow if this was corrected as his back is on the level.

A fine image of a very proud beast Phil.

Ha ha, cross posted. It was a tricky one, and I have to agree it does look a tad better

Hello Phil..

Nice.. and the depth of field you achieve with your lens gives the three-dee feel
And he looks to have his eye on you too... like he really is posturing for you...

Great capture! Looks like he is tip-toeing along! Lovely warm colour too, and nice behavioural shot. :toast:

Hi Phil,
That's a wonderful pose you've caught here. I like the inclusion of the leaves in the upper corner too.
:toast:

What was it like at Richmond today. Would you say the rut is still at it's peak or well past it now and quieter with regards rutting behaviour?

Sorry Justin,

Went to have an early night as a 5.00am call in the morning to return, Hopefully, I haven't looked out yet the temerature dropped last night which should hopefully act as a trigger, It has been very mild so far and I think there is about another week left...

All the best

Phil
