Rabit Brush
This shot was taken near Silver Lake early on Sunday morning (before the CANP gathering). I not sure if I composed this image so well, but was drawn to the snow collecting on the flowers. Thanks for your comments.

A nice image with good exposure. However, I feel the image is too busy. My eye seems to roam around the image looking for a center focusing point.

I like the dusting of snow on the flowers and can see why you were drawn to this. But I think as presented it is a bit busy. Maybe a vertical crop focusing on the left side might work? That's where my eye likes to settle in the image.

I like the photo. but I think if you were drawn to the snow on the flowers. A tighter crop on about 2/3's on the LR part of the image and a slight boost in contrast to make the flowers pop just a bit . Then IMO the concept you visualized, the subject that drew you to make the image would be more emphasized.

Michael,

Too bad we missed you on that Sunday, but I know you had to beat the pass closure.

To be honest, I think without your description it's hard for me to fully understand that it is snow on the rabbit brush. Ok, I'm familiar enough with the plant to know that it doesn't have white blossoms, but still I don't get the sense of the blustery, snow day that covered quite a bit that day.
I'm wondering too if there was too much included as Paul eluded to in his comments. That, and enough depth of field does make this come across as somewhat busy. I like the idea and what attracted you to this intimate little scene.
