My wife and I were at Richmond Park an hour before sunrise this morning and it's just a wonderful place to be at that time...
And yesterday I remarked on Justin's backlit stag picture and his breath and how I'd like one for myself - I didn't get anything like his, but I did catch my own breath picture with this one.
I used a Nikon D700 with a Nikon 300 f/4 and at 1/90, f/4 and ISO 900 - and a tripod this time!
We waited under the canopy until he walked into the path of sunlight, then he roared and I took the picture.
It was quieter this morning - we didn't see nearly as much as on Wednesday, but i got a small few pictures that I'm fairly happy with

This is really nice, especially the light and the way the folliage is at the top and bottom of the frame.

Thank you for the replies. I think this has become my favourite shot of the two days I was at Richmond.
This guy looks like he's got just one eye. I think I saw him last year too.
