I wanted to catch Richland Creek with rare fall water, so I got up at 4:00 am and made it there by 6:30am. Shooting was good until about 8:45am when the Sun arrived. Wading Falling Water Creek with water well above my knees was fun at 34 degrees this morning.
This shot is in the area known by paddlers as Lower Screw-up. The colors are progressing nicely but I think it is a few days until peak. It looks like another chance of rain on Wednesday!
Thanks for looking.

nice shot Tom. I bet that water was cold. I waded it last week when it was around 40. Even if we don't get anymore rain Richland can still look good with a little bit less water. Hopefully I can sneak out a little this week and make my way back up there.

Very nicely done, the cold feet where worth it I would say!

Looks like there was still plenty of water to go along with the beautiful color, Tom. I'm glad you were able to get off a few shots before the sun came up.

Well done Tom. There's a nice variety of colors and shades back behind that rushing water. Really makes me want to be there.

I fell in love with the Richland Creek area last fall during the CSNP gathering and this is a good example of why. The combination of abundant water and fall colors make for a inviting image. Good work Tom!
It could be me but it looks like there might be a slight CCW rotation.
Beautiful Tom. I really like the foreground of the water in this one, nicely composed also. And the fall color really makes for a special combo. I knew crossing FW would be a cold start to a cold morning for you.

This is beautiful Tom! The colors are very true to life. The angled perspective really pulls you into the depth of the image. Great!

Thanks for all the comments, Richland Creek is a magical place! There should be good color and water for the next few days.
One note about the level. When I shot this photo on Sunday Richland was running about 150 cfs and today it is still over 100 cfs and falling slowly.
