Washington DC Area

I'm a member of the RMNP group and will be in the DC area the first two weeks of Nov. I was hoping I could get some advice on some fall color locations within a hour or two from the DC area. I'm planning on going to Great Falls National Park but I have never been there so any advice would be great.

Great Falls is a must. Be aware there are parks overlooking the falls on both sides of the Potomac. Both are worth visiting because each offers very different views of the falls. However, it's dicey as to whether there will be much left of fall color by the time you expect to arrive.
