Stalked Scottish Stag
Well, thought I might get in on the act! I went with a guide out onto the moutain wilderness in Perthshire. Scrambled over heather, through bogs and over countless ridges before meeting this chap. I have to say it took me several minutes to see him when the guide found him about 70m away. He obviously saw something, but couldn't smell us due to the guide's fieldcraft, so wasn't disturbed. Morning sun raking down over the mountain at 90deg was pretty challenging. Not the most dramatic stag photo, but it's mine! Don't have the technical details as I've left those and the original files in Perthshire!

Very difficult lighting to contend with Ian but you have made a good job of it. The oof foreground is a bit heavy but not exceptionally so. You must have been well pleased to have succesfully stalked this fella, they are not easy away from the parks.

Sounds like a great challenge and good to see your efforts were rewarded.
I quite like how the stag's face is spotlit.

Nice to see something a bit different Ian. A nice feel of the wilderness about this and I do like the lighting. :jump:

I like the light on this one, very autumnal. Nice to see something a little different.
