Was messing around with this photo and came out with something interesting, or at least I thought so. Basically a gaussian blur and then running it through the watercolor filter.
Interested in what others think of this.

The blur makes a nice narrow DOF effect although it looks more digital than typical bokeh. The watercolor effect probably added the 'digital' look through brush strokes. I think I'd leave at the blur to isolate your subject.

Honestly I don't know if it's shallow DOF or the blur effect for the background, and I can't see the watercolor effect either. It just looks an image shot wide open and saturated in post processing, but not overly done.
