Never Seen This Before
A mating pair of Pileated Woodpeckers. There was just simply too many limbs and twigs between the camera lens and the woodpeckers for me to get a good clear shot, but really I was glad to get one this good since this is the first opportunity I have ever had to photograph a pair sitting together on a limb.

We have them here but I've never seen a pair together. They're always alone. I don't think I've seen one with their crown up like that either.

Good job getting this shot through the trees.

I have a few near my house. I see them travel almost together, but never right next to each other.

I have since looked at their specific markings and think the male is in frount and the female is behind him.
