Anybody prepping a camera to try and capture the meteor shower tonight?
I know it must be next to impossible but who knows… How would one capture this fleeting moment? Simply set up like you were capturing lighting, in a remote spot with no light pollution and hope for the best?

I live in western Washington....we won't be seeing stars for the next 6 months.

It's not as hard as it seems. A simple time exposure will do it.
Good luck!

Ah Ha… that is how I thought it would be done. Thanks Sandy. Next big shower I may get to escape the city lights to play in the dark.
I was thinking it may be nice to capture a few while doing one of these

Maybe the shooting stars would add something different to this popular technique.
Not much activity this late but we've had clouds.
Did you get any shots?
