Gi’s a kiss
I have just spent an afternoon with about 30 seals, my first time with them on shore. Like most people I found it difficult to capture something “out of the ordinary” since they spend most of the time lazing about. One thing I did notice was that often when one arrives from the sea there is a lot of threatening and baring of teeth until they get very close, and then there is an intimacy when they appear to kiss very gently.

I hope this conveys the mood.

All C&C welcome, and thanks for your input Craig.

Nikon D3 with 600/F4. 1/1600th sec. F4 ISO 400. EV 0.

Very well caught interaction Mike. The detail, composition and attractive background make this an image I would love to have taken.
