Staring Daggers
1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4, 1/500s, f7.1, iso 200.

I was trying to repeat and improve upon an image I took a few years ago, when a coot stared at me in a most aggressive fashion. This turned out completely different from the original, but I like the way the light and reflection creates a mood of intimidation.

The reflection is natural, but I was printing this image in A4 format, so used the content aware scale tool in PS to position the bird a little higher in the frame for composition.

Comments and critique welcome as always.

I always love viewing your low down shots

This one makes the coot look evil

Great comp and colour :toast: :toast:

You've certainly maximised the effect of the reflection by placing the bird high in the shot - very nicely done Ian :toast: :toast:

Beautiful Ian. I would know your shots now even without your name on them. :wavey:

Nice one Ian, I'd never heard of the 'content aware tool' (yet another deficiency in my almost zero photoshop knowledge) but whatever you used it has certainly resulted in a memorable image.
Robert.
