Would be interested in opinions on this one as it's the first time I've been out with the camera in months and I'm a little out of practice!
I find I take photos obsessively, then lose all motivation for a while - fortunately with the amazing Autumn colours about at the moment, inspiration isn't too hard to find!
Certainly worth the effort og getting out Pete. There is just the right amount of movement in the water on this. So many shots are spoiled by too slow a shutter speed but it has worked very well here. I'm no landscaper but I really do like this one.
Robert.

I love this shot. I'd hang it on my wall, just out of interest was the leaf placed on the rock, I guess it might have been, A neat touch either way well done.

I like this very much! My only suggestion would be to crop to the base of the big tree trunk, as I feel this gives a better balance overall. Nicely done!

This shot has a nice ethereal quality about it Pete and, as Robert has said, you've got the movement of the water spot on - nice work
I'm guessing the single leaf was positioned (as Brian suggests) - a technique I've used myself on several occasions, though no doubt some will think it makes for a rather cliched image - each to their own eh, but I like it

stunning image, the composition and colours are brilliant and the leaf is the icing on the cake for me

I know nothing about landscapes other than what I like the look of and I certainly like this very much. Ian could be right about cropping to the base of the tree but without seeing it I am unsure. I would be very happy to hang this on my wall

Beautiful, love the colours and the swirly water is great - just right.
Thanks for the feedback. Now to the million dollar question - was the leaf placed there?
I don't know! I didn't place it, but the place was crawling with photographers so it's not inconceivable that someone else did. I'm a bit annoyed I didn't remove it for a frame or two though...

Hi, nice image, I like the slow bubble effect across the water meandering down the shot in the right of the image and the reflective autumnal greens in the left of the image. The leaf is not to my preference. The autumnal colours in the middle of the image seem to be stronger than the colours in the top of the image, although they would have been reflected from higher up? I agree with Ians comments about the crop.

It might be old and battered but it still delivers the goods
It certainly asks the viewer if it placed there, and maybe that was the intention....
My personal view if that the image was good enough without it
