Tunnel View Yosemite - WARNING ICON
...a bazillionth pixel of this view. Yet, I am a sucker for its beauty, no matter how often seen. The view of falls in Oct could only happen for the day(s)after rainfall of 3-5 inches. What a treat! Thought some might enjoy. Two quick days in park before returning to Seattle. Great place, as always. Ken S

Zeiss 35 mm, Nikon D300, F11, 1/50th, 3 portrait shots combined w/CS3 photomerge. Original after cropping about 5500 x 3500.

Nice shot Ken. It looks like Spring with all that green and water flow.

I am headed there in one week and can't wait. Hopefully some of the Fall color will still be there. Parts are peaking right now according to Michael Frye's Blog.

I never tire of seeing this iconic view. Well done, Ken.

Thanks for posting Ken. Surely, it's hard to go wrong at Tunnel View and you've come home with a great rendition. I'm totally amazed at the water in Bridal Veil, but it makes sense with the early October rain and snow we had. You were also fortunate to have an interesting sky and those few floaters around El Cap are a nice finishing touch.

Always a fine view and you captured it well.

So far, my record is 4 tour buses at Tunnel View at the same time, but I am going for 5. Anyone else?

When no one is looking you can stand on top of the tour bus and shoot w/ out the trees in your way. I'd shoot it every time I'm there.

Every time I see an image of this valley, it amazes me that enough forethought and action went into to actually preserving this land for future generations. Well captured!

A bazillion dollar view captured nicely.
