I'm using a manfrotto-bogen magfiber tripod, and love the weight, but I'm having a "devil" of a time keeping feet on the darn thing. I've lost two off the tripod at this point, and resorted to duct tape to keep the third one in place. The malfunction happens when I'm set-up in a creek/river, trying to get to that angle where no other photographer has gotten, and I pull the tripod up to move it and the branches/rocks etc. strip the feet off. Anyone else had this issue? and If so, where can I purchase new feet, I've sent an email to manfrotto and not gotten a response. I've attached an image of the tripod and my "repair"?.

And I thought I was the only one with this issue. The solution that finally worked for me was to bond the feet on with Shoe Goo. I have not lost one since, but I don't use it much anymore either because I replaced it with a Gitzo 2542L. Wow, did my photos improve! I can not believe how much more stable that tripod is. And the feet screw on.

I had the same problem in creeks & am using duct tape for two of the feet. I emailed Bogen Imaging & got the following response. They were quick about getting me a response. I've not ordered the new feet yet.
Good morning as you can see on the attached diagram the part number for those rubber tips is R441,01 at $3.41 each plus shipping.

I had the same problem. Sounds like I'm in good company. I actually had the lower segment slide inside the middle one to where I could not get it out. Luckily one of my fellow photographers had a small tool kit and I was able to take it apart to get the leg out. I used superglue to bond the rubber foot to the leg.
I've also had a problem with the entire leg assembly coming out of top. Same kid if issue and I plan on superglueing it as well.
LOCKTITE!!! These photos could be of my foot-less tripod before I started using Lock-Tite.
I almost had a standing order with above Bogen people for 3 replacement feet every 4 months. Then, the lower footless limb would retract into the upper tube and I'd have to take the whole #$%^ thing apart to repair it.
No more!

Thanks for all the feedback. This tripod has had an interesting life so far. Not only is it missing two feet at this point, but it was dropped on a yellow jackets nest last fall. I was hiking with my wife and dogs, stepped over a log, and right on the jacket nest. I was "eaten up" with twenty stings, my wife had 10 stings, and the dogs were bitten too. As I was running to dive in the creek I dropped the tripod (so I could swat bees), and it ended up directly on the entrance of the nest. Needless to say, I didn't try to retrieve it, but ran into a couple hiking in. I mentioned the tripod to these folks, and believe it or not got a call from the couple the next week. They waited until dark, and found it with a flashlight. Good samaritans! SO...the tripod has some stories to tell.

Interesting timing. My Gitzo 2542L has shed all three feet. $15.02 direct from the manufacturer plus freight to replace. I may have to try the Shoe Goo II trick.
