Decided to head down to the beach this morning, seeing as though the last time I did the clocks went forward. I was expecting lots of birds but there was just one Oystercatcher, Turnstone and to many dog walkers

So I was happy to come away with this image, especially with Oystercatchers being so shy. Any c&c appreciated.

Not sure about this one, I think it is the rather bland environment. But I do like the idea.

Did you try lower and larger in the frame, as I think this would have worked really well.

Hi Liam,

I'm with Neil here, Its not quite there, I think the OC needs to be more in sillouette.. I m guessing you are shooting down an incline on the beach.... perhaps you can re-process, to make more of the sillouette, loose a lot of the top to make a pano and I think there is a nice image in there.

Thanks for the comments, I have had a re-proccess and I am happy with how it turned out. I think I agree with the comments as my original was in between a silhouette and backlit.

I was slightly above the bird and was making my way down the shingle (rather painfully) with a full frame shot in mind but of course a dog walker had other ideas and chucked a ball straight at me :argue:

I think Phil's idea of a pano crop will work well on this one Liam, keep em coming.
