The Doll House
From my recent wanderings in the Manti-LaSal area of Utah.

This ancient Anasazi ruin is one of the best preserved structures that I've ever seen. It measures about 15 ft. long by 5 ft. high, and is divided in half by an interior wall.
In fact, this was so far away from civilization that I almost shucked off my clothes and started grinding corn right then and there!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

And yes, the b&w muse has left the building....

I love the comp, the ruin, and the colors. I wonder what it would look like from a lower angle? Thanks for posting.

Very nice composition John. The lighting on the left side of the building against the black shadows behind really make it stand out.

Another great shot Poacher. Love the comp with the inclusion of the tree.

Very nice photo, but educational for me as well.

A great shot with a strong composition. I also like the inclusion of the branch. The cave seems a tad dark but then maybe that helps accentuate the building. Regardless, the structure's exposure is great.

Why was it when I saw the title of this I thought of the restaurant out on west Colfax? (which by the way is an awesome diner!!!) Great shot though, agreed with the composition being strong

Great image and find. As said the tree branch really gives it added color. Its amazing how these ruins have survived for so long.

The reflected light on the wall to the left really adds depth and demensionality to this, as well as the nice tree in the ur. Very well done, John!

That's so cool! I like the way you have included the tree branches; it adds some extra color, and the dark background makes the ruins stand out. Very nice.
