I shot a little of everything this weekend, but found this to be my favorite. I was standing on a concrete platform that is just down from the spillway off Bailey Lake and the leaves were swirling slowly around the platform creating a beautiful palette of color with the help of the partly cloudy sky. I had a great, great time this weekend. Dottie, thanks for hanging out with me! It was a lot of fun. Guys, you are all amazing and I appreciate all you did to make this weekend a grand time. Bill, thanks for getting us all in the same place. Your effort is much appreciated! I look forward to Spring! PS: Thanks for choosing a place with water, electricity and real bathrooms with showers!

When I look at this the words rich, lush, and smooth come into my mind. The texture of the water is just the icing on that cake. Nice shot Karla.

This has a nice 3 dimensional feel to it. Sometimes we miss these beautiful "small scale" scenes. This one should be printed.

Karla, you did well with your macro excursion on Saturday afternoon.
Beautiful!!!! Karla, thanks right back to you for all your help this weekend. It was great to meet everyone and put faces to names. I had a BLAST! Ditto to Bill for all his hard work!

Love the color in those leaves, Karla. Just as a suggestion, I might try cropping some off the right side to give this a little more balance.

Finally getting around to commenting. I can see why this would be a favorite. The arrangement of the leaves, the 3 dimensional feel Aaron mentioned, the compostion -- all really nice. Good shot, Karla.
