Hey all I was wondering if someone might volunteer their help to me, as I am REALLY lost on this. I just received an email asking me for a quote on a gigantic ad campaign and I am full on lost and overwhelmed by this, and haven't any idea where to even begin or start. If I could PM or email someone who would be willing to lend a hand I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm sure many of us would be willing to help, but can you describe some of the generalities first?

I'd run out and purchase FotoQuote for something like this. It paid for itself, plus a complete Canon pro system and three "L" lenses, when I got the order for a nationwide ad campaign a few years ago - just over $10k for a single image used by the ad agency for VW.

FotoQuote will handle everything from brochures to billboards. Plus. it has tutorials on how to negotiate and how to figure license valuations for your images for various usages. It helped me go from the initial offer of $1.5k to just over $10k! The ad agencies know very well what images are worth and of course they'll low-ball you. But once they understand you're a professional there should be little argument. I can not stress enough how useful this is for just the sort of questions in your mind right now.

This and more are covered in my, ahem, upcoming "Biz of Photography" seminar this November...
