This is a dark peat-stained highland river, and its surface is covered in fallen birch leaves some of which are gently moving in the back eddy in a large pool. An exposure of 25 seconds was possible using a polarizer and the long exposure has emphasised the lovely swirl of colour. Luckily the wind stopped blowing so the rowans remained still long enough to be sharp.

I'm not into this sort of photography yet John, but this has made me determined to have a bash ! Lovely image and well thought out.
