New to NPN and CANP
Just wanted to introduce myself.

I am originally from Peru but currently live in San Francisco, CA and the picture you see is from my last trip to my country about two months ago. You can visit my website to check some of the images I captured in the Peruvian Andes.

I’ve been doing photography for only 4-5 years and I love it. In my case, it started as a hobby, then I printed some photos for my house and some friends offer to buy a few. Then I had a couple small shows in the company where I work full time (in finance) and more people started buying.
I don’t sell a lot but enough to pay for some equipment here and there.

What is most important is that I get the chance to be in the outdoors and meet wonderful people who share the same passion as I do. Now as a member of NPN as well as CANP I am hoping to meet many more people and learn and share ideas in the years to come.

Thanks,

Alejandro

Alenjandro,

Welcome to CANP and to NPN! We're glad to have you here and we look forward to seeing your work and possibly meeting up with you somewhere out there. Looks like you frequent Yosemite so perhaps I'll see you up there one day.

I checked out your website and you have some very nice work. Don't be shy and post some images and be sure and make some comments as well.

Welcome.

Hello Alejandro, and welcome to NPN / CANP. I saw your recent email and Preston's response. As I mentioned in my earlier email last week and as Preston outlined in his response this afternoon, there is nothing further for you to follow up on at this point in time now that you have enrolled as a member with NPN.
NPN is the main site all the regional groups umbrella under such as our regional CANP group here in California.
So, please feel free to post images as you care to as well as joining in on the current posts with comments as well. :wavey:

Alejandro,

Welcome to our regional group and to NPN! We look forward to your participation!

I was in Peru in 1975 in the Cordillera Huayuash climbing on Nevado Rasac and Nevado Yerupaja. I absolutely loved the country, and found the people to be very humble and giving. That trip will forever remain a high point in my life. The wonderful images on your site brought back some nice memories. Thanks!

Hopefully, we'll meet up in the field.

Kind Regards,

-P

Hey buddy, It's nice to finally see you here. Hope to some of nice work posted here soon.

I still remember jumping on the back of your SUV when you were stuck in the ditch in snow in Yosemite  Always a memorable experience when you get to jump up and down like an ape. I never did hear from that other guy that was hanging out that day. Cheers!

Hi and thank you everyone for your welcoming!

I am trying to find some time to answer to all of your comments but with work, a new born and now a second on the way, it gets harder and harder :jump:
Lately I've been doing mostly cityscapes although I went to Yosemite with Kyle about a month ago. We had a good time there and got some nice shots.

Preston, thank you for your comments. Peru has changed a lot since 1975 but once you are in the Andes is like times does not go by. Many parts of the Peruvian Andes look unchanged and as you know it is mostly due to being so remote where not too many people get to it.
I hope you can visit again.

Harley and Sandy, thank you as well. Hopefully we'll be able to meet soon.

My friend Steve. How are you? You brought nice memories and I am certainly glad you and "the Unknown" were there to help get my car out of the ditch

I will try to post some of my Yosemite shots from last month soon.

Thanks again and looking forward to participating more and more in these forums.

Alejandro
