I went back to the coast on Sunday as the weather looked good again with some strong wind predicted, this is a shot I have had in mind for sometime and the light was perfect for creating long shadows and also showing the blowing sand.

Ah - very nice indeed! Well spotted and the composition is spot on for me. Maybe a wee tweak in PS to darken the shadows, but thats not a crit, just an observation. Lovely image.

Superb Danny.
Great feeling of the barren, windswept coast here.

Wow Danny, this is really good. The lines in the sand, the shadow and nice to have a posing seal in there as well!!

Danny - this is just sublime! The diagonal lines are just amazing. I suppose you could tweek this in many ways for different effects. For me, I would lose the areas of ?water at the top and perhaps place the seal even further to the top left to emphasise the lines even more. Whichever way, this is one of you best IMHO.

Beautiful shot Danny. And well done on the bear photo in EWPotY - the print looked really nice at the GDT festival.

I think that's a bit special Danny. It's been passed with flying colours by cheetah woman as well, so I guess that makes it official. Your certainly on form at the moment. Eric

Superb Danny! Agree that a little off the top may make it even better.
Great shot, Danny, like the light and the shadow following the diagonals in the sand.

Nice one Danny,
Oh alright its great
I would be tempted to get rid of both the water pools though.
The wind blown sand and the soft shadows leading your eye to the seal works superbly, as does the plentiful space around the animal. Very nice.
