I was playing around when my long exposure was going off. Unfortunately I lost the CF card that has the 1 1/2 hour exposure. It may be near the elk fields in Boxley if anyone finds it...

5D II
ISO 5000
15mm

Looks like the perfect night for this! I hate that you lost the card. I would have like to seen the long exposure. The milky way really shines. Makes me want to make the long drive to the hills in the middle of the night. ISO of 5000 looks really good!

Great ones Aaron! I wanted to do some star trails this weekend, but couldn't find the energy to go out and do it! Maybe we should send out a search party for that card!

Two great shots, Aaron! The first one is really nice with the milky way so prominent. I hope your card turns up. Did you have your name on the back? I've never bothered but probably should.

Aaron, nice star shots, as Gale said, there are a lot of stars. You had the ISO cranked up there on you 5D2 and it still does a nice job.

It always amazes me how many stars the cameras eye will pick up compared to my own.
