As an early "holiday gift" to the lovely folks of RMNP, I want to extend an invitation to attend a free seminar and panel discussion about current practices in digital photography workflow.
In this three hour session, I will do a short presentation about my workflow and current best practices in imaging, then open up discussion and Q&A with a panel of several other experts. We'll cover everything from capture through print, as well as online presentation.
Any currently active member of RMNP is invited to attend, however, this seminar is NOT open to the general public. Similar to the rules of the Fall Colors contest, you need to be an active participant in our RMNP forum during the past year to be eligible to attend. Sorry but this also goes for guests.
The seminar will be held somewhere in the Denver Metro or Boulder area.
Did I mention it's free?
Now, I'm ready to open up the real can of worms: I'm even willing to let you all have a choice in the date of the event. Please reply to this thread with your preference from the choices below:
Week of Nov 30, Dec 14 or Jan 4?
A weekday evening (Tues-Thurs), or Saturday daytime?
I'll go with whatever gets the most votes. (... and my apology to anyone who really wants to come but can't make the chosen date!)
Finally, once the date is announced, your RSVP will be required to attend. I need to have a firm head count to make arrangements for space, refreshments etc.
Please post any thoughts, comments, questions here. I will post another thread with the final info and you can RSVP there or by email.
I look forward to your participation!

Nat, Just had to say, that's so Generous of you. I wish I lived closer so I could make it. I really hope to attend a seminar of yours sometime.

Nat, this is very generous of you, your classes and work-flow are top notch. I would even say they are worth paying for. I look forward to attending. The only time that I would not be able to attend would be Saturday Mornings. Everything else I can work out with advanced notice. Tues-Thurs Evenings would probably be best because of that.
That sounds great! A week night would be my vote. I don't care what week.

A week night is better for me as well. The week of November 30 is the best for me. You can never hear to much about work flow and best practices. I appreciate your generosity.

Great offer Nat. I've been waffling between renewing some magazine subscriptions or ponying up the money here. This is the deal breaker and I'll be a member by sundown Nov 1.
I work in the Springs so Saturday would definitely work best for me. If it has to be a weekday evening I'd prefer it be after Jan 1 when my available time to leave work early renews itself.

I'll be out there sometime around dec. 28-Jan 2 so i'm going to selfishly vote for sometime in that time frame. You can make it my birthday present!! very generous of you to offer such a workshop. Hope it is well attended!

Thanks Nat! I have no preferred day or time, count me in though!

Definitely a Saturday (anytime) for me. If it's a Saturday, I don't care whether it's Boulder or Denver. This is very generous of you, Nat.

I have no opinion on dates, but I do think it should be held in Pueblo, preferably at the library a few blocks from my house. Strictly on the basis of the quality of their conference rooms, of course.
Thanks for your offer for the seminar. Please count me in.
I am flexible as to day and time. I'm looking forward to getting your Lightroom 3 book when it becomes available.
Very gracious of you. Week nights after 6:30 works best for me or Saturday afternoon. Partial to the Week of Jan. 4th or Nov. 30th (December is booked solid right now).
Thanks in advance.

Count me in! Week of the 30th is a good time frame. Weekday or weekend works.

I've been to at least one if not two of your seminars and they are just amazing. Can't wait to see this one. I'd make time for this class.

WOW!! Extremely generous offer Nat. I would definitely like to attend. Any of those weeks or days would be fine with me.

Hi Nat,
Thanks for the opportunity. I'm interested in this. Any of the times are likely workable with enough advanced notice.
Thursday or Saturday around Nov 30 fits my schedule best. Sure would not want to miss this.

Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest on this. I'll post RSVP info in the next couple of days.

Thanks Nat. Tues-Thursday works best for me as I work Saturdays. I'm lookikng forward to your Lightroom 3 book...have already learned a lot from the LR2 book! It is well written and easy to understand. I don't know if you can do this with LR3 book but I learn mostly by doing. Have you thought about having a disk with some images and then showing the steps from start to finish? Just a thought. I know some books offer that.

Nat, I've been looking for something like this. I can work around any day that's selected.

Bump to top!
Am I correct in assuming that everyone who viewed this thread and did not respond isn't interested in the seminar?
I would love a little more feedback and a few more indications of interest here... this is shaping up to be a really cool thing...
Nat - I am very intersted in this as well as my workflow is kinda all over the map. Thanks for your generous offer! Date wise I think I can probably work any of those listed..,

Thanks Nat.
