Welcome to NPN Paul...

A great start - just about perfect for me, it's composition and the perch too ...
You must be very pleased with this, because I would have been

Excellent shot Paul. Nicely balanced, sharp and well processed. Slight halo under the beak? easily rectified though. On my laptop so maybe fine. Look forward to more of your stuff and welcome

Hi and welcome...

A very nice first post... would really like to see the original as you have great detail in the highights but the blacks are looking a little bit blocked which is more that likely down to web compression, a small amount of work to bring out the catchlight in the eye?

An interesting perch, perhaps not what you would expect this species to land on....

Looking forward to more..

Great first post ! Small nits already covered. As Phil says-perch a bit incongrous but I suppose the bird is feeder bound ?
Cheers
