Petes Lake
So many leaves and a busy time of year has prevented me from making much progress on my fall shots. This is one of the few I have worked on and is a shot at Petes Lake south of Munising on the day of the October 13th storm. The same day as Brian’s but a different lake. It is 5 vertical shots combined.

Comments welcome.

Well done, Phil. You did very well to get 5 clean verticals with the same conditions and have it work out so well in pp. Everything was very fluid on that morning, from fast moving storm clouds, rain, snow and the sun peaking out only here and there. This pano looks like it was a nice, sunny morning after an overnight early snow. Excellent work. :toast:

Phil,
Usually the limbs on the left would bother me a lot but they kind of make this image work.... nice one... rename this lace"Phil's Lake"!!!

Is this facing west at Pete's Lake, Phil? The last time I checked this lake out (fall of last year) I recall noting that the east side of the lake was very heavily coniferous--much more so than what I'm seeing here.

Very nice image, and definitely a unique look at this location.

Kerry
This was taken at the boat ramp. I didn't have a chance to check out the area but I think there are some different views from the campground. When I went back the Gerlach group was there so I didn't stop.

Thanks, Phil. The Gerlachs like to shoot sunrise from the Pete's Lake boat ramp--facing east, of course.

A nice image. One thing to watch is that the reflected sky on the lake does not match the sky. You should darken the real sky with a density mask of some kind to match the reflection as it would help make those trees pop more.

Beautiful capture, Phil. Great job on the 5-image stitch. I really like the "frosting" on the top of the trees.
