White Oak Canyon, SNP
Took a group of my students hiking up White Oak Canyon, Shenandoah National Park, last week. Here's a couple of shots I took when I wasn't trying to corral them. The first is a shot of the upper falls, while the second is just above the upper falls, below the footbridge that crosses the stream.

Boy the water is low up there!. I shot some photos of Hogcamp Branch on Friday and it had some more water but the Rose River was almost dry. I then shot Keyser Run on Sunday and it actually had a continuous flow for the first time in months thanks I suppose to the rain Friday afternoon. I posted that photo in the ESS forum as "Keyser redux".

The leaves were really nice this past weekend up near the parkway so I'm a little surprised you didn't get more color at the falls but that is a somewhat lower elelvation. That's a really good perspective you caught there, I know how hard it is to find a good place to shoot from there. I have caught a lot of fish in that pool at the footbridge so know that spot well--Larry

White Oak Canyon is a very special place for me, especially that overlook. I see that tree has not moved since 2002. Nice image and thanks for the fond memories.
