I think I have found a niche for my nature photography. Took me long enough. The ease with which I can compose to get a photo that 'I' like...and the overlapping appreciation by others for the finished produce is my gauge. Have you found your niche ...and how did you arrive?

20+ years in this business and still haven't got a clue.

Ken~ I'm still looking for mine. Been at it for about 13 years off and on (on for the last 7). What is yours?

Hi Amy, my niche...well...I like to grab colors and shapes from the ground...leaves, cones, needles, seed pods, rocks, feathers...arrange them, work the light till it's right... and shoot. I have a bunch of ideas for future shoots ...new textures ...even want to get a couple baby chicks (borrow 'em from the local feed and seed store) to walk around my sets... for some unique shoots. Would that be fauna? w/flora? Anyway...the ideas flow easy to me...whereas...landscape compositions are trial and error...few (original)ideas...try to copy another's comp...more frustrating to get anything that I like...or know what I want...rarely a winner.
