Here is a color update for anyone considering going back to Petit Jean this week. The color at Cedar Falls still isn't quite there. Lots of leaves blowing off the trees though. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2580/4056290559_8652e68a22_o.jpg

Thanks for the update, Matthew. Lots of water in the creek! It does not look like the colors have changed that much near the falls from last Saturday.

Lots more leaves on the ground though...The falls are going to be roaring this weekend!

yea Tom the colors didn't look all that different than last weekend. It looks like lots of leaves are falling and I am worried that it is going to change from green to bare.

Thanks, Matt. I was not too optimistic last week about having better color this week. I think you are probably right about the color going from green to bare. Just not enough sunshine at the falls this year.

These are great shots. I wonder if it would look any better to desaturate the brown water in this one? The third is my favorite.

Aaron, I actually desaturated the water a lot. I wanted to go further with it, but it looked weird. Unfortunately this little waterfall always seems to be muddy when it is running this high. The third is my favorite too. It is a five shot pano and the small size doesn't do it justice.
