Shades of Fall
This was taken near a trailhead on the Berryman Trail in SE Missouri. My husband was racing in a mountain bike race there this past weekend, and I found plenty of subjects to photograph to pass the time waiting for him to finish. You can see a larger version over on ESS that isn't suffering from as much jpeg compression (I had to save this on "low" to get it within the guidelines.)

Canon Rebel XTI, tripod
35-80 mm lens
ISO 200, F14 @ 1/5

Hey Angela, this is a really pleasing fall shot. Nice job extracting this composition out of the forest. I took a look at the larger verison on ES&S and you're right, much more detail evident without the jpeg compression.

Great to see your work from SE MO. Got any more?

I like this a lot Angela. Well composed and it's got a great fall feel to it. Thank for sharing.

This is quite nice, Angela. The fallen log makes for a nice lead into the beautiful fall color in the background. Well-done!

Very nice Angela...I was thinking the same think Bill said about the fallen log...It does seem to point the way to the fall color. What a nice color palette!
