I like the light on the bridge that leads you down the path beyond. The fall colors are a nice bonus. The one very small nit would be the dark branch in the ULC that is at an odd, horizontal angle. Either a slight crop off the top or cloning out the branch would make it a little cleaner. Overall it has a really inviting feel to it.

There's something very inviting about the patch of gold on the trail deep into the image. Well captured, Kerry.

Jack, I guess this is why they pay you the big bucks. I must confess that it never occurred to me to try converting this image to b&w. Here's the end result. I like it; the brighter area in the mid-ground, which is almost unnoticeable in the color image bursts forth in monochrome (among other differences).
There's certainly a world of difference from the full-color image. I also looked at it with a sepia tint and that was interesting too. Thanks for the suggestion.

Kerry, very nice view. The path beyond is very inviting. Last time I was there, i was unable to enjoy it as I had just dislocated my shoulder in the gorge below. I was afraid you were going to show the 165 step stair case!!
Aaaah, memories.
I prefer the color version personally, but that's just the kinda person I am Great shot! We had an amazing peak here in Central IL, and I'm glad you got a real keeper out of it
