Last week I spent a couple of days in the Ponca area with my brother, Aaron. This photo was taken in the rain at Steel Creek. The rain was a pain to shoot in, but it did saturate the fall colors and add some nice dark streaks to the bluff. I’m looking forward to becoming an active member of this group of great photographers!

Nice shot. I saw you and Aaron coming out of Steel Creek as I was going back in last Thursday.

Dramatic colors. It is like a study in primary color. I like this very much, but I do think you could tone down the foreground greens which feel a little too electric.

Welcome Isaac - what a great first post! I like how you've thoughtfully placed the trees against the bluff. Really nice composition. But I agree with Lon on the green foreground - seems a bit too saturated on my monitor.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. :wavey:

Lon and Bill - I agree that the foreground greens were a little oversaturated, and I have toned them down some.

Matthew - It was a beautiful day out there, but the rain was frustrating for photography.

Hey brother! I'm glad you finally posted something. I can't wait to hear what people say when you start posting your underwater work!

To see some of Isaac photos check out his website here: http://www.isaacszabophotography.com/

He's one of the best photographers in Arkansas (in my opinion) and no one knows about him!

Great first post Isaac! I love the colors up against the bluffs. The greens to me aren't that over saturated. I think it looks fine. Be forwarned...this group is addictive!
Welcome to the forum! :wavey:

Welcome, Isaac, very dramatic colors. It appears is may have been raining when you photographed this?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, Tom, this was shot in the rain.

Very striking study in contrasts. I love the way the trees and grass stand out from the wet rock face. The markings on the rock wall remind me of old dead trees long since bereft of leaves. Together with the foreground, the effect is almost poetic.

Isaac, what a vibrant first post! This one jumps off the screen and I'm sure it would do the same in print. Welcome to CSNP, if this is any indication of the work to follow, bring it on!

Welcome! Great first post. The green might be a tad saturated, but I don't see any other thing I'd change. Great comp and colors.
