Red deer stag taken in the early morning mist from a recent visit to richmond park, one of the first shots of a eventful day, following the stags 'around the rut'.

This is a wonderful picture, Jeff, and much typifies early morning Richmond Park Is it a bit soft, though, or is that fog getting in the way?

I think this is the best shot I've seen of yours. The angle you've caught the bellowing stag at really shows the power of these reatures and the mist makes it all the more atmospheric. (It sharpens up nicely too if you like 'em sharper.)

Works very well IMO Jeff, sharpened it alittle and added a little levels/curves and looks a lovely shot and one of your best

Hi Jeff,
I really like this one and it is the first one for me. It is the desaturated colours that give it that early dawn feel that I like so much. It is a little soft, but I don't think it matters at all, merely adding to the dreamy, half awake feel. This one of my favourites of all your posts. Eric
