Just got a call from a fellow photographer. He just returned from picking up his daughter at NMU in Marquette. He said that the tamaracks are in full autumn splendor from Gaylord north into the UP. Other fall color still present, mainly in the lower story. The weather? :frown:

The tamaracks ARE AWESOME on the section of M28 that lies between Shingleton and Seney, locally referred to as the Seney Stretch.....it is a long story for another time.

Hi Scott, lwould love to hear the story. My friend has shared a lot about many local spots in the UP. My first exposure to the Kingston Plains set a special place in my heart for that area. I really look forward to sojourns to the UP. They always have the habit of re-charging me. Wholly. On several levels!

The tamaracks are at peak in northern Wisconsin as well.

I'm wondering if anyone has a pic of the tamaracks at peak color to share?
