The Trail
Since most of the fall color is gone in the vicinity, I thought I would start getting caught up on some processing.

Most of you will probably recognize this trail as the cemetery trail to Twin Falls. It has to rank as one of my favorite trails to hike in the fall, even with the steep descent into the creek. The understory was just magnificent this year, but all the ice storm damage made pleasing compositions hard to come by. This is the spot where I met Jon Wisniewski the second time as he was going back to his car.

You've captured some of the essence of fall in the Arkansas woods. I like how the red in the dogwoods seems to just keep going in the distance. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice...I agree with John, I really love how the reds just lead into the scene.

This is a nice dense fall scene.

Seeing this makes me wish i would have attempted more shots of the understory that day. Im loving all the red in this too. I was exhausted though and really looking forward to getting back to my car.
