I just saw Ken Bachman's post with the evening view of Green River Overlook and thought I would add my morning view that was done early October. To anyone who first visits this part of our world like myself, it takes your breath away the first time you walk up to one of these overlooks. I urge everyone, especially photographers, to witness these areas for themselves

You are right, these views are awe inspiring...thanks for sharing!
I really like the dappled lighting here - adds a lot of depth.
Yes, the views out there are nothing short of spectacular. I did a sunrise shoot at Deadhorse Point a little over 2 years ago, and it's an experience I won't soon forget watching the sun light up the canyon walls in succession. There are so many wonderful places to explore, so you just have to keep visiting over and over!

It's true, Larry, that this area is the land of the grand vista, but, I find Arkansas to be equal as the land of the intimate scape. I love to poke around some of the wonderful creeks, waterfalls, and bluffs that you have. I just visited the Ozarks for my first fall and cant describe the beautiful color I found. I just love it! In the Central area we are lucky that in our back yard and yet it takes only a day to a day and a half to be in the San Juans.
