In Flight !
Last visit to Bradgate this year.

The result of a dog chasing the small herd

Was nice to have met up with everyone :wavey:

Yea Ian,

Really good shot. The movement in the fur is superb and the sharpness of the stag is great too.

I'm guessing people might pick up that the entlers are not in the frame but the way the rest of it is composed, I don't feel it's a problem.

Fantastic shot this...there is a bit of movement in the shot, which I feel adds to this as an image. Overall the image just feels right to me.

The image conveys their panic nicely. Shame about the antlers but it is better that than the feet. Very well caught action shot!

I just wish these irresponsible dog owners would learn to keep the blighters on a lead, but it did give you a nice image.

Excellent! Real sense of movement. Because the tips of the antlers are missing, I might be inclined to crop a little more from the top to focus more on the deer.

Skilful grab shot - given another chance I'd have liked to have seen the dog included! Still, you take what you're given and you've conveyed the action well. Nits covered.

Cheers,
Chris

Cheers for the replies :toast:

There was around 20 deer in the herd so this is only a small part of it. I have other shots of it but they were so close all are full frame and it was a case of lose the anklers or lose the feet :frown:

The woman retired with dog after Maggies Mark and my comments

Great shot, good movement.

As said at the time it wasn't the dogs fault but the numpty owner .Stupidly the dog got a wollop off its owner which proved a real lesson as it did again down the hill with some fallows .
I too got the same image Ian and struggled with the antler /feet dilemma ( sorry Maggie for the machine gunning in your ear.) Its captured the action /charge superbly and timed so much better than mine . I'd be inclined to blur ( slightly ) the eye of the hind at the rear to put full emphasis on the stag. :toast: :wavey:

Really captures the moment Ian. Nice detail. Strangely enough I have the same shot, again with missing antlers (even though you and Mark were machine gunning me) Just you both wait until next week - I'll be gunning at the same speed

P.S. What new lens have you ordered? You kept that a secret
