Dipper
Took this over the weekend in Lathkill Dale lying down for about 3 hours

for POV, in poor light so am afraid had to go to 800 ISO and therefore it is a bit noisy. C & C appreciated.
50d + 400mm f5.6
ISO 800
1/250
f 7.1
Evaluative
Very small crop and a little sharpening.

Hi Kim, I think it needs some counter clockwise rotation to stop the water going down hill.

Nice Dipper taken at extreme focal length. have you used noise reduction?

Mustn't have been lying straight!!! No haven't used any noise reduction, the water was very still there, and as I said, poor light. I have applied sharpening just to the Dipper. I was very disappointed that having made the journey - it was such a poor day weather wise. Would appreciate any suggestions that could advise on how to improve a shot in these conditions.

Had this been taken on a nice bright day I think you'd have a winner here Kim, as for what to do re these conditions, maybe take a tripod and use a shutter release.

Hello Kim

Thats a nice shot under the circumstances, sometimes you can only get what you can, it can be really fustrating sometimes because you have to travel and then the weather is bad. I think you have done the best you can, my only advice would be to go back again because in the end you will get the shot you are after.

Nice composition just a shame about the weather, and all the detail is there. As Danny mentioned above worth another visit in better light. :toast:
