Spent the day waterfall bagging / leaf peeping in the Gorge yesterday. The Mount Defiance trail between Starvation Creek Falls (here) and Lancaster Falls (a mile in) is prime right now. Better get out there fast if you want to catch any more of it though.

Great compostion but i would go for a longer exposure if you go back next year.

@ Erik - What do you mean "go for a longer exposure"? This was 4 seconds as it was.

I like it how it is now, Bryan. Great color and comp. The water flow looks very nice to my taste. I don't know the weather conditions where you were standing at that minute, of course, but I was wondering about the levels of contrast and saturation. You guys have such wonderful opportunities in that area for the waterfalls. I get kinda jealous...

The saturation levels are pretty much straight out of the camera. With resizing and sharpening for the web, the color gets washed out a bit, so after sharpening I bumped it 15 points in PS to get it back to where it should be. It actually still looks less vibrant than it does in Lightroom. The contrast is a reflection of what the scene looked like at the time (about 4pm), but since the raw files are usually less contrasty, I intensified the blacks a bit in LR.

Great colors Bryan. I had to be out of state during the peak gorge color :frown: .
