Studio Herald Moth +REPOST
This beauty of a moth landed on my kitchen window tonight so I couldnt resist grabbing a handfall of windfall leaves and setting the studio up. Never seen one before so was really nice to see it up close.
Photographed with my trusty 40D as my 7D has gone to Canon heaven!

Comments and crits welcome.

I was having problems with the colours with the conversion so apologies if they look a bit off.

Cheers

Ian

A lovely moth indeed Ian, using the leaves was a wise move as it works really well.

Like the rich colour here Ian. The leaves make the moth a master of disguise. Nicely done.

Hi all
Thanks for the comments. I've attached another one from the same session but in typical studio fashion. I like both for different reasons but would be interesting to see what other people think of the white background. I know the second lighter shadow is a bit distracting but I'm trying to work out a way of getting rid of it with the lighting.
Commets and crits would be appreciated.
Regards
Ian
