There have been lots of captivating posts of bears and other exciting subjects this week in the Fauna Gallery and the one even more spectacular than the other. I had a hard time deciding which would be eligible for a weekly Pick. Hence, maybe, I choose a completely different image; namely a perfect silhouette of a bull elk. Earlier this week Lon Sharp posted a first version which includes a tree. He mentioned he also had one without the tree and invited people to comment on whether the tree is a good element or a distraction. Later he posted the version without the tree, which was selected as this week’s Pick. Please view his first post here and thesecond one post here.

And that is what NPN is all about, share your work, ask for opinions and do something with that feedback. But remember people that this only works if we ALL also post comments on other people’s pictures.

Congrats Lon!

Congrats to Lon. He provides great images on a regular basis. Lon has helped me on my posts and has helped many of us to learn from his expertise.

Thank you to Vincent and to Brad for being such conscientious moderators and to Andrew for those kind words. Because I shoot mostly fauna and because I appreciate the help and feedback others have given me, I have made it a conscious effort to offer some reaction to all fauna images, anytime I have access to a computer and NPN. I know sometimes a single observation can make a difference in how one sees an image! NPN continues to be a great learning resource for me in a pursuit where the bar always moves and one must always be learning! Thank you, all.
