Just got back from a family trip to Yosemite. While the winds of the previous week had really dropped a lot of leaves there was still nice color to be found including oaks, cottonwoods, dogwoods and maples. Plus our kids had a great time romping thru and collecting all the various types of leaves.

Nice series on the oaks along the Merced Derek. They are all vibrant and make me want to hop in the car and take off right now.

Well, I'm extremely envious because I was unable to make it to the valley this weekend - so thanks for sharing a little that I got to miss!
This is a little busy, but I must say that the larger version shows the details much better, especially the dark green part of the river. But I really like how the oak leaves light up in this scene and I think you did a nice job with this image; it certainly captures the beauty that can be found along the Merced River in Yosemite.

The mixture of colors and all the different elements make for an eye catching image... especially in the larger version. A square crop just inside of the right tree trunk might be an interesting image as well. Nice find!
