At the weekend I thought this years Rut was more or less over but it has got colder as the week has progressed and so there has been a mini rivival. I have never really got anything decent on fighting Stags as they have always been in bracken or just to far away but that all changed this morning as I finally got the chance I have been after, after all these years. These two Stags were at it for over fifteen minutes right in front of me and just got nearer and nearer to me. I have shots of both Stags in but really liked the head shots towards the end. It was amazing to witness this scene at such close quarters my best morning in Bradgate for many years

Great image to remeber a great experience, sounds like you had tons of fun (and good images!). Love the low angle, though the oof band at the bottom had to grow on me

The low angle works very well on this, nice one Danny.

I too though the rut was over and only got to hear the fallow deer fighting in the bracken at Bradgate but clearly your perseverence has paid dividends. This is a great shot well taken

Nice one Danny I thought Saturday that the Fallows were going to start off but they never did.
Lovely low POV and glazed eyes
I knew should have sent Kato out again this morning

So lying in the mud again have you? Great shot and as Mark said...like the eyes. Light isn't too bad either.

Cracking image Danny but I,m affraid the blurred bottom just takes the edge off it a bit for me.
Good stuff though.

You've got'em at last Danny, you must be mighty pleased! I look forward to seeing some more.

Paul.
Nice action and lighting Danny, though I'm inclined to agree with John R that the oof stuff is a bit intrusive, particularly on the right hand stag.

A real cracker Danny. Great facial expressions. Bet they have been rutting all along mid-week and just taking the proverbial on a Saturday

Fantastic Danny. Really like this one. Your getting some great light for your shots at the moment. The eye on the deer on the right really stands out nicely. Everything seems to align nicely.
Nice.... for me just a slightly higher viewpoint would have been better, not much higher mind, good to see the two different colour variations.... Surprised no one has mentioned this but they are Bucks not Stags

good image Danny, but agree a slightly higher viewpoint would be perfect.

Nice low angle, light and action. Bloody spots make this image. Thanks for keeping the cold weather and mini revival all to yourself
