This is actually from a year ago and I finally had time to go back on this one for follow up processing. Many would recognize this area along the Mill Creek in Lundy Canyon. I had noticed this site the evening before and made a stop here the next morning on the way deeper into the canyon area.
At this size the compression factor was not too bad, but the larger 1200 long side file fell prey to that web posting short coming. I'm sure years from now we will wonder what the heck compression factors were, and in fact, we will no doubt be viewing all the files in some kind of HD and realizing how far the Internet had come.
Anyway, until then we make the best out of the parameters and limitations we have to work with.

Paul,
Having to resort to last year eh? :-) This looks like it's at the far, west end of the upper beaver ponds? Just before you get to the trailhead loop? This could very well have been taken this year, considering the fairly green conditions.
This is real nice, but not one of your best. Nothing wrong and no nits really. Perhaps it's the blank sky and relatively flat colors - I suspect prior to the sun rising from the east. The processing and web sharpness look great.
It's a pretty picture, but to me, not a particularly compelling photograph.

I like all the various elements captured here and the way it is framed. With a little more interesting sky/light and maybe a dusting of snow I doubt this would have sat so long for more processing. I can't think of anything I would change here... well seen!
Paul,
I find myself drawn into the lines of the trees. Looks like a little hard light, but the composition is very pleasing. The reflection is great. Best Regards.
